Why learn about the category of road safety and signage projects?

Greetings, designers!

According to data from CNT (National Transport Confederation) only about 12% of the Brazilian road network is paved, still with the majority being single track (92%).

If the numbers alone don't scare you: More than 60% of goods and more than 90% of passengers depend on road transport, which faces serious problems with the low quality of infrastructure in Brazil.

As if the operational problems that this brings us were not enough, Brazil occupies the shameful position of 4th country in the world with the highest number of traffic deaths. Each year, there are approximately 33,000 deaths and 400,000 injuries…

On the other hand, several studies indicate that Not only paving roads, but efficient signage is the best cost-benefit for reducing traffic accidents.. Therefore, it doesn't take much thought to conclude that the Brazil needs (and badly needs) qualified projects and professionals in this area to solve the problem.
